Cheap Holidays in Spain
You
can't really say you are simply going on holiday to Spain. With so
many areas to explore and many places a destination in themselves Spain
is so much more than just a cheap holiday destination. Home of the
Flamenco, paella, a few talented footballers and that tantastic tv
series 'Benidorm'. The South Coast of Spain offers beach holidays galore
or you can take active holidays in Spain climb the Monte Perdido in
Ordesa's lovely National Park. If neither of those take your fancy a
Spanish City break is great way to spend the weekend absorbing the
culture and sophistication of the Spanish way of life.
If
history is right up your street, try walking in the footsteps of
pilgrims. The Way of St James takes you to historic Santiago de
Compostela, a World Heritage Site and centre of pilgrimage since the
middle ages. If it's wildlife you are after visit a national or regional
park, go walking and hiking, or take a jeep safari into the marshes,
wetlands, sand dunes and wild, windy, deserted Atlantic beaches. For a
family holiday away try the beaches, cycle rides, golf courses and theme
or water parks.
At
the end of long day enjoying the Spanish way of life explore the
culinary feast Spain has to offer and it really would be rude not to
taste a few local wines here and there.
Cheap Spain Hot Spots
Seville - A
stunning city and financial district there are shops, restaurants, bars
a plenty. The warm weather also means an afternoon lazing by the pool
before a slap-up meal out is perfectly acceptable.
Madrid -
The countries stylish capital, perfect for exploring the history and
culture of Spain. Also, pretty good if you're into your football.
Barcelona -
A foodie heaven. Tapas bars, a famous food market, great cocktail bars
and some even better latin dance clubs for the evening. Shopping and
visiting Cathedrals for the day.
Costa Blanca -
Home to Benidorm and the slightly less famous Alicante. We'll be
honest, it's not Spanish culture at its best but for a cheap holiday in
Spain you can't ask for much more.
Salou -
A family friendly resort on the Spanish coast. It's a mix of Spanish
and tourist culture, great beaches, plenty of activities and plenty of
food options.
Costa del Sol -
Some people call it 'Costa del Concrete' and there may be some parts
that may warrant this title but it isn't all bad, there are some lovely hotels in Costa del Sol. It ticks the boxes for the perfect all-inclusive holiday in Spain.
